Swimwear & Body Shape

In over 25 years experience fitting real women from all over the world, Sue Rice has worked out that the most flattering swimsuits are those which support, hide or divert the observers eye away from the perceived problem area.

Below are 6 of the most common body types.

large busts
Large busts need extra-strong support:
  • underwire or
  • softer control-mesh shaping, and
  • coverage at the side-armhole
so that you're not spilling out. Click to go to the Bust Support Shop now.

average bodies

Average bodies have that enviable well–proportioned bodyshape, usually similar measurements for bust and hips.

We have lots of styles to suit you. Check out our One Piece Shop by clicking on the image at left. Also check out our Bikini Shop and Tankini Shop for more suggestions.

Hippy GirlsHippy girls need a few tricks and optical illusions to bring balance to the figure.

You can do this by directing the eye of the observer to your figure assets, by using some clever styling tricks.

Long bodies

Long bodies want swimsuits that don’t ride up or pull down on the shoulders. This is not only uncomfortable but it tends to flatten the bust too.

Of course, any two–piece (bikini or tankini) would be suitable.

Smaller busted

Smaller busted girls young or more mature, tend to want to be fuller or boosted up to give the illusion of a larger bust. Padded cups and gathering can help give the illusion you are after. Alternatively, a sleek unpadded style can look great.

Soft tummies

Soft and/or big tummies go hand in hand with life and it’s changes. Many women say that their tummies have never been the same since they had children. But don’t despair...help is at hand.
